How many days/weeks will it takes for the stitches and swelling to disappear?

It depends on what kind of sutures are placed. Typically I use dissolvable sutures under the skin and you will be able to feel these for several months. The suture that actually goes in the skin is pulled out one week after surgery. Individuals heal at different rates and for some people, the incision has nearly disappeared by three months while for others it remains pink for 9 to 12 months. No incision completely disappears but if well placed, can look much like a skin crease.
