Physicians

This list consists of physicians who are laryngologists or have a web page on a voice disorder or at least treat some voice disorders. Some physicians prefer the term phonosurgeon. Laryngologist or phonosurgeon, they both are likely otolaryngologists who emphasize voice in their practice. Some people are listed because they treat spasmodic dysphonia with Botox - since these physicians can be hard to find. Many of these physicians are on the list because a patient gave me their name. Thus, for some, I have no first hand knowledge of the extent of their interest in treating voice problems other than SD. I have tried to highlight in bold those physicians that I know focus on voice problems for all or a substantial portion of their practice.

The general political considerations of working with many of the people below preclude me from making a recommendation for or against them. It remains your responsibility to evaluate their talents for caring for you. See Choosing your Doc for my best effort at evaluting the care you receive.

please email James P. Thomas, M.D.
