- Baltazar Servin from Mexico City comes for a 3 month fellowship to study voice disorders.

- Old house finally sells - tenants, buyer, buyers agent - everyone thinks the other is causing them a problem - expensive and unpleasant for everyone - attornies do well.
- Tried steelhead fishing with guide (essentially an expensive bird watching trip)
- Sienko family week in Toronto, canoeing, golfing, biking, eating, grandparents reap the rewards of family
- August
- Tried Salmon fishing (essentially an expensive day of suntanning. however the night sky was fabulous on the coast)
- American driving vacation to the National Parks - Missoula, Montana, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Parks and friends along the Colorado Front Range. Hiking, climbing, big animal watching rock climbing, kayaking. Staying with friends Dan Wolf & family, Jane & Peter Weingarten, Donna & Liza, Browyn & Dave Morrissey
- First anniversary of one year in the house home. When you have two kids and a wife it is a home. When you are single, it is a house.

- Jim does his first presentation at the national ENT meeting in San Diego - visited the Anza Borega Desert
- Susans national meeting is in New Orleans
- Jims 25th high school reunion in Pennsylvania
- 15th wedding anniversary

- worked to pay off Visa card.
- Stephanie, Richard & Donna Sienko visit.
- first gymnastics meet for the girls

- Singing at church, the Grotto, carolling
- Bringing a Noble fir into the house. Bringing out the trains. Fires and snuggling in the evenings.
- Throughout the year
- Piano lessons, gymnastics, swimming lessons for the girls.
- Susan painting (purple, lime green, peach, sky blue, gold, tea green, olive and more) and decorating rooms in the house. Evenings quilting. We even kept one for myself this year.
- Jim plays piano for the childrens choir at church and works all year on Mozarts 12 variations on Ah vous dirai-je mama - Its not there yet.
- Camping on the back deck and watching stars, telling stories, waking up in the rain.
