“Daddy, I want you home forever!”

“Mommy, look! Watch me tie my shoe! Daddy, look! Watch me tie! Watch me!”

Parent: “Will you pick up your toys?”

Girl: “No! I won’t!”

Parent: “What will happen if you say that again?”

Girl: “I’ll have a time out.”

Parent: “Will you pick up your toys?”

Girl: “Yes”

“Daddy, why aren’t you getting me any milk?”

“Are you missing the magic word?”

“Daddy, Pleeeeease, get me some milk.”

“I’d be happy to.”

Are you going to be my Syna?

Are you going to be my Morga?

They appear to be creating special words connoting a special relationship or meaning.

They pretend to be various adults, especially their teachers, Mom and Dad. You can sometimes hear yourself when they are role playing.

“You just need to listen to me!”

(parents think, Is that really how I said that?)

We have listened in on many conversations at make believe tea parties. They love to talk with their animals.

Favorite Christmas song

“Enter, come in and rejoice, today will be a joyful day.”

That is the only line they know, but they sing it constantly.
