Digging the "River Phoenix"
the finished "River Phoenix" (before plants)

I roofed the girls playhouse with cedar shingles (certainly thought I would get more done than that). That leaves walls, windows and doors for next year.
Half of our backyard has become a wildlife refuge after completing a pond (Lake Thomas), a stream (River Phoenix) and a bog (we could name this one after you?). I moved alot of my bonsai trees and miniature plants into that area. In particular we planted numerous type of berries, especially blueberries. At christmas, last year, I bought a G gauge (really big) model train and over the year I have painted and weathered it.

It models an old steam engine and I have named the line Blueberry Ridge. Since I like to have a few projects available to me, I may someday move it outside, around River and Lake Thomas. For the time being it merely circles under the christmas tree.
The girls love, even insist, on participating in all projects, no matter how mundane, nor how time consuming the project becomes once they are involved.
