He hung a swing in a tree for Ellen Sjögren when she was about 6 years old. She remembers the blacksmith shop as having tools on the wall, a fire pit with a bellows she used to pump, and watched as horseshoes were made.

Research by Gary Horlacher: Blacksmith Swen Engström, born 11 Sep 1827 in Levene Parish. He was widowed from a first wife 23 Jan 1860. He married his second wife 13 Jan 1861. He resided on UppagÜrd Farm in EdsvÑra Parish until at least 1896 and died after that date. |
